Cupid’s Undie Run at Whiskey River, Charlotte is a 4 hour all adult party (yes you must be 21) with a one mile run in the middle while wearing “undies” through Uptown Charlotte. If underwear isn’t your cup of tea you can wear a valentine’s themed costume. All proceeds to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation to help find a cure for Neurofibromatosis which affects 1 in 3000 people every year. Registration is open at Click Here.

Any participant who raises $250 or more is a VIP at the event and drinks for free in the VIP private section!! Come join the fun and take your pants off for charity!! So basically what you do is start with a party run a little and end with a party all for a good cause. You can run as a team, or solo its up to you.

This event started in 2010 in DC where a group of people decided to run with in their underwear to raise money for Neurofibromatosis. In 2012, Cupid’s Charity became a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit and since its inception has raised over $14,500,000.

Neurofibromatosis- According to the mayo clinic Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue. These tumors can develop anywhere in your nervous system, including your brain, spinal cord and nerves. Neurofibromatosis is usually diagnosed in childhood or early adulthood.

The tumors are usually noncancerous (benign), but sometimes can become cancerous (malignant). Symptoms are often mild. However, complications of neurofibromatosis can include hearing loss, learning impairment, heart and blood vessel (cardiovascular) problems, loss of vision, and severe pain.

So if you don’t have anything important to do this weekend go out, have a little fun, and run in your undies for Neurofibromatosis.
